PRT では幸運にも、北カリフォルニアのサーモン修復プロジェクトの一環として小川から引き揚げられた樹齢 900 ～ 1,000 年のセコイアの木を最近入手することができました。レッドウッドは、その稀有な美しさ、豊かな音響特性、独特の木目模様と色合いにより弦楽器製作者に人気があります。まだら模様のトップスには、少しウェーブがかかっています。微妙なものもありますが、これらは当社の標準的なレッドウッドトップとは一線を画しています。
