FAQ's

Yes. About half of our Vault pieces are best suited for solid-body builds, while the other half work perfectly as drop tops for semi-hollow guitars. Most are cut around 0.25" thick, making them ideal for laminating onto a body core. Each listing includes exact thickness and dimensions, so you can choose the right piece for your build, be it mahogany, alder, or chambered body blanks.

Absolutely. Each piece in the vault collection is photographed and listed individually. What you see is what you get. These aren’t “representative images”, it’s the actual set that will ship to your door.

All Vault tops are dried and stabilized at our facility to ensure dimensional stability and optimal tone. That being said, we still recommend that all of our tonewoods acclimate in their own shop prior to building with them. You may have your own preferred drying schedule that you’d like to follow.

The most common species in the Vault are:

  • Flame and quilted maple: Known for their dramatic figure and carving potential
  • Figured koa: Visually stunning with warm, articulate tone
  • Salvage Old-growth figured redwood: Rare, responsive, and lightweight

Each piece is selected for its tonal potential and visual presence on an electric instrument.

Vault pieces are not graded using AA/AAA systems. Each listing is unique and priced according to visual character, rarity, and quality. We let the wood speak for itself. The photo is your guide—grain, figure, curl, and character are all visible, so you know exactly what you’re getting.

We do not offer holds or payment plans due to limited inventory and high demand.
